Exploring a range of media Xuejing Yang has experimented in animation, photo collage drawings and stuffed fabrics. Xuejing says she still looking for her outlet, ‘ maybe for a style of drawing, or perhaps for the purpose of life.’ I think Xuejing, the answer is to follow your interests and making the stuff you enjoy the most your work. Xuejing enjoys working with enchantment in her illustrations, best when she puts her mind to a imaginary world and purely creates. Heres a snippet of Xuejing Yang:
What, if anything, do you listen to/watch when working?
I always listen to lyrical music when I’m drawing, which keeps me calm and focus on my job.
What is your favourite book?
The manga called <<Tekkon kinkreet>> by Taiyo Matsumoto is my favorite book. I love mangas and <<Tekkon kinkreet>> is the one had a deep impression on me. The spectacles are gorgeous in comparison with the thought-provoking and touching dialogue, like the dialogue:”White did miss lots of screws, I need screws for my heart.God make me broken, Black ,too. He is broken, he is missing screws too,for his heart. But I got all the screws Black need, I got everyone.”
What do you find the most interesting?
I’m interested in drawing using photoshop which are especially for something variety has totally no relations to the course work, I mean illustrating just for fun. I always feel the pressure of doing course work, and random graffiti makes me relax.
What would you be doing if you weren’t doing illustration?
A baker i guess. I love making cakes and dessert, and I absolutely tried, but few success. I dreamed to have my own bakery shop!
